Lucy Stewart studied playwriting at the Royal Court Theatre, London and has written approximately twenty plays. These have been produced by theatre companies, high schools, universities and new writing festivals throughout Australia and internationally.

Playwriting awards include those from Playbox Theatre, St Martins, The University of Melbourne's Theatre Board and Geelong Repertory Theatre Company.

Lucy represented Australia at the Aotearoa Playwrights Conference (New Zealand) in 2006, World Interplay International Playwrights Conference (Townsville) in 2003 and the University of Tulsa (USA) as a guest artist in 2004.

She is currently working on several commissions and completing her MA.
